USING TUNEPREPPER™

Using TunePrepper™ as a File Converter

TunePrepper™ does more than just rip tracks from CD and encode them to one of a variety of file formats. It can also convert from any supported format to any other supported format. Among the file formats supported are:

  •   MP3
  •   Ogg Vorbis
  •   WAV
  •   AIFF
  •   ADPCM

To do so, just drag and drop your files into the listbox, select the format you wish to convert the files to, click Browse to specify a destination file folder where you want your converted files to be stored, and click start.

As with file ripping, you can use the existing encoder presets or "roll-your-own," as described in the Advanced Setup Options section of this manual.

In case you're wondering, yes, you can use TunePrepper™ to process existing MP3 files, including trimming their silences and normalizing them. You will, however, lose one generation of quality in the process, since the MP3s are expanded, processed, and then recompressed into MP3s again.
