Tracks are appearing as Track 01, Track 02, etc., but the real track names never appear. |
- You must be connected to the Internet in order for TunePrepper to look up your tracks in an online CD database. Be certain the Internet connection to your BeOS/BeOS computer is functioning.
- Not all audio CDs are listed online. If your CD is somewhat obscure, try another CD...something from a well known, popular artist. If that one works, you'll know that information about the other CD isn't currently available online. In that instance, you'll need to use TunePrepper's attribute editor to add the track information.

The encoder crashed or is producing errors, or tracks are failing to encode, or a red dot appears next to tracks that are attempted. |
- In some rare instances, one of the two lame encoders available, either lame, or gogo, will fail to encode properly. Both are great encoders, so if you run into that problem, switch to the other and you should be fine.
- If you are getting no results with either encoder, perhaps the encoders are not installed on your system. You can determine this by opening your home folder, then your config folder, then your bin folder, and looking for files with the names "lame" and "gogo.". While you're there, make certain oggenc is there too. If missing files is the problem, the encoders can be found at http://www.bebits.com
- In the odd event that neither MP3 encoder works for you, Ogg Vorbis creates files that are just as compact, and we believe they're actually of superior quality to MP3, bitrate-for-bitrate...and TuneTracker is more than happy to use Ogg Vorbis files.
