Alternate Ways to Access TunePrepper
TunePrepper gives you three ways to access its "services," so you can use the program in whatever way best-fits the way you work.
Traditional Approach
This is the approach described elsewhere in the manual, in which you launch TunePrepper first, add files to it, and then process.
- Double-click the TunePrepper icon to launch the program.
- Drag-n-drop from folders into TunePrepper, to add files to the listbox, and process them as described elsewhere in this manual
Using "Open With"
This method is an alternate way to load files into TunePrepper. It will open TunePrepper for you automatically. You must still click Start to begin processing files.
- Select a group of files in a BeOS folder
- Right-click on the selected group and click on "Open With"
- From the "Open With" options presented to you, choose "TunePrepper."
- Process the files as usual
Using "Add-Ons"
This handy method lets you select files without first opening TunePrepper, and processes them using the last settings you saved. You won't even see the full TunePrepper interface, just a progress bar that will appear in a popup window as the files are processed.
- Select a group of files in a BeOS folder
- Right-click on the selected group of files, and move your mouse to the bottom of the little menu that appears, hovering it over the word, "Add-ons"
- In the Add-ons list, select TunePrepper.
- TunePrepper will launch as a "background task," processing the selected files using the latest settings you saved in TunePrepper.
